The carpet area is the part of the roulette table which is beside the wheel and is used for placing bets. This area of roulette comprises of a total of 37 numbers which are divided into 3 columns of 12 numbers. The boxes are numbered from 1 to 36, which are called the Lles numbers, and there is an additional box having a zero, which is placed at the carpet’s top along the width of the 3 columns. At the bottom of the carpet area, there are outside bets, having bets on black, red, odd, even, and missing passes. Also at the bottom, between the numbers and outside bets are the dozens, that is, 1st 12aine, 2nd 12aine and 3rd 12aine.

The Rules of Betting in Roulette Carpet Area

After the betting of a certain amount, the dealer will give you X times of your bet along with the winnings. Your original bet will still be placed on the carpet; it is then the player’s choice to leave or take it back. So if played and won from a single number, you will have a total of 36 rooms, from which 35 will be distributed by the dealer and the one left, will stay on the carpet.

While playing at online casinos, you must have noted that there no bets remaining on the carpet, and all of them are made by the player. The rules of carpet betting in online roulette are similar to actual roulette but there are some exceptions.

Here are some ways of betting on the carpet area while playing roulette:

35 x Bet -The Straight up Number

This focuses on a single number. It gives you back 35 times your original bet. So if you are betting $1 on a number, say five, then you will get $36 back.

11 x Bet – The Trio

It focuses on three numbers to bet on. The bet is placed at the end of a row of three numbers. For example, you can choose 4, 5 and 6 in this case. The Trio brings backs 11 times of the original bet.

17 x Bet – Two Numbers “Split”

It focuses on two numbers. The wager is placed on the dividing line between two numbers. This “split” will be bringing you back 17 times of the actual bet.

8 x Bet – The Corner

It focuses on betting on four numbers. The wager is placed in the middle of 4 numbers on the carpet. For example, you can bet on 1, 2, 4 and 5. Your bet will become 8 times the original amount.

5 x Bet - The Sizain

The Sizain focuses on six numbers. The bet is placed after the 2 lines of 3 numbers on horseback. This bet will multiply the original amount 5 times upon winning.

2 x Bet – The Dozen

The bet is focused on 12 numbers. As we know, the carpet is divided into 3 columns of 12 numbers, which we can also call 3 dozens. The bet is placed on one of the dozens. This bet brings back 2 times of the bet you placed.

½ x Bet – Two Columns

It focuses on two columns, that is, 24 numbers. The bet is placed on 2 dozen and will bring back ½ times of the original betting amount.

1 x Bet –“Simple Chances”

You can focus on half of the numbers except the zero on the top. You can half the numbers in any of the following ways

  • You can go for the reds, while others left will be black.
  • You can select for the even numbers, while others left will be odd.
  • You can choose the numbers from 1 to 18 (loss), or you can go for the other half, that is, from 19 to 36 (pass).
